Even if I did know what day it was, it would be called something else here anyway. The only thing we have to figure out is which day to leave, and for the time being I am excluding that thought from the accessible parts of my mind (even while typing it - isn't that clever!).
I think we have been here 2 full days now? The sun really hasn't set for any noticeable time in that period, and it is only in the periodic departures of hot air balloons from the island outside our window that we can track the passage of time.

Today's plan is a tough one. Uhn Grand Café to start, sil vouz plait. Then an assault on Chateau Chenenceau this morning, one of the famed Loire Valley chateau. This afternoon, a boat ride on the Cher. Later, Mum and I will issue forth to find a restaurant for dinner. Luckily, there'd appear several hundred within 250m, so I suspect we shan't find that too challenging. The pub Sur du Pont ("on the bridge") may get our patronage again. Justine and I had a late night wine and cheese plate there last evening, sitting on the promenade with the sunset literally streaming through the arches of the bridge at our backs. It was some French word for magnificent.
