Losing a friend
Bad news reached me in a very ancient place by very modern means yesterday. In this medieval town, where people have lived for 1,200 years in an organised city, the Wifi connection brought email confirmation that one of my first and best friends from Colmar Brunton, Jo Cox (nee Walker) had lost a short and depressingly inevitable fight with a viscous form of cancer.
She was a friend, advisor and respected colleague, and she'll be sadly missed.
